HCA Member Show 2021, Welcome to the Big Tent!

60 members entered the show this year from 28 towns and 4 states. We received a wonderful variety of works from Experimental to Classical Realism and everything in between.  Juror Sarah Alexander selected 60 for display in the gallery. She is a Core Artist Member at Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.  Her work is in private collections and has been shown extensively throughout New England, as well as abroad. Sarah's work has been published by North Light Books, and she was recently a featured artist in the NARM Quarterly magazine.

The HCA Members Show 2021: Welcome to the Big Tent Exhibition will be available for viewing at the HCA's Lotvin Family gallery February 5-March 18, 2021 as well as online here.

The HCA gallery hours for public viewing: Monday - Fridays 9 am - 7 pm and Saturdays 9 am - 2 pm. Guests must observe safety protocols when visiting the gallery, including wearing a face mask. What inspired you to make this work?: Carol was inspired by my desire to blend my sketching process with my fabric collage. I used the black threads in a messy, yet deliberate way to show the disorganization of my own thoughts while drawing, and paired them with very deliberate dyed fabric to force the two together and see what emerged.
